Jim Rogers specializes in continuing education and the development of industry outreach courses, and has served as a faculty member at ASU’s Construction Management degree program, teaching a number of different graduate and undergraduate courses in concrete, safety and general construction management. Mr. Rogers established the OSHA Training Institute (OTI) Education Center at Arizona State University and has produced and delivered many of the OTI Ed Center courses in both construction and general industry, including the train-the-trainer courses. He believes that safety, productivity and quality are inextricably linked, and that safety and health management must incorporated as an integral part of any successful company management program. He is also an expert in post-tensioned concrete construction, with several published manuals and numerous articles and documents on concrete and post-tensioning, including Design of Post-Tensioned Barrier Cable Systems, Design of Post-Tensioned Sport Courts, and several chapters of the current Post-Tensioning Manual. He has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry and serves, or has served, on various technical committees for the American Concrete Institute (ACI), Post-Tensioning Institute (PTI), and ASTM. Working as a consultant for groups that include the Tilt-Up Concrete Association, the International Association of Ironworkers, and the Concrete Foundation Association, he has lead the development of many construction industry training and certification programs that are currently in use throughout North America.
