Cancellation and Refund Policy for Western OSHA Education Center Courses:

Classes are scheduled based on projected demand. ASU reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a class session at any time. We work very hard to try to limit these occurrences, however, there may be times when an instructor or classroom becomes unavailable, or the number of registered attendees does not meet OSHA's minimum attendance requirement, causing us to cancel or reschedule a class. In these instances the customer acknowledges and agrees that ASU's financial responsibility to the student is limited to a refund of the course fees paid to ASU. Customer has the right to request a refund, or the funds will be credited to the customer's account for use on a future course offering.

When a customer/student registers for a class, ASU allocates resources including classroom space, instructor time and printed course materials based on the registration. Cancellations by the customer represent a significant burden on ASU in terms of reallocation of resources.  Accordingly we have adopted the following policy regarding the cancellation or rescheduling of courses.

  • Customers who cancel or reschedule 30 days or more before the first scheduled date of the class are entitled to a full credit of course fees paid.
  • Customers who cancel or reschedule from 15 to 30 days before the first scheduled date of the class are entitled to a credit of course fees paid, less an administrative fee equal to 10% of the total course fee.
  • Customers who cancel or reschedule from 6 to 14 days before the first scheduled date of the class are entitled to a credit of course fees paid, less an administrative fee equal to 25% of the total course fee.
  • Customers who cancel 5 or fewer days before the first scheduled date of the class (which includes failing to show up for all or part of a class) are not eligible for a refund and will forfeit the course fee paid.

If a customer is due a refund and opts to instead transfer their registration to a future course offering they may do so with no fee required.

Unless otherwise noted, our classes are continuing education courses and credit for successful completion is based in part on 100% attendance in the class as scheduled. Customers that fail to show up for any part of their scheduled class may not receive credit for course completion.
