  Successful completion of this course results in participants becoming OSHA-authorized trainers in OSHA’s Outreach Training Program for General Industry. Authorized trainers can conduct both 10-hour and 30-hour general industry classes that provide training to workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces along with information regarding workers’ rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a workplace safety complaint. OSHA-authorized trainers are able to issue 10 and 30-hour course completion cards to participants. Participants learn effective instructional approaches, adult learning principles, and training techniques. Participants learn to define, and explain construction industry hazards as they teach 10-hour and 30-hour construction outreach courses. 
  

  
  

  Note: Students in this course must prepare a presentation on an assigned OSHA Construction Outreach topic, pass a performance exam and a knowledge-based exam to successfully complete the course. Students are required to bring government issued picture ID as proof of identity. Please bring any teaching or technical aids that will assist your training techniques, such as a laptop computer with PowerPoint or Google Slide capabilities.

  This half day course is comprised of interactive training designed to give the attendee an understanding of OSHA's record keeping requirements that apply to all industries.

   

  The course will assist employers in identifying and fulfilling their responsibilities for posting certain records, maintaining records of illnesses and injuries, and reporting specific cases to OSHA. Several interactive practice exercises are included. Employees of companies that have responsibilities under OSHA's revised recordkeeping Rule 29 CFR 1904 will benefit from this course.

  This course covers OSHA Electrical Standards and the hazards associated with electrical installations and equipment. Course topics include single- and three-phase systems, cord- and plug-connected and fixed equipment, grounding, ground fault circuit interrupters, and safety-related work practices. Emphasis is placed on electrical hazard recognition and OSHA Standards, policies, and procedures and applicable portions of the National Electrical Code (NEC). Students will participate in workshops on the safe and correct use of electrical testing equipment.   Successful completion of this course results in participants becoming OSHA-authorized trainers in OSHA’s Outreach Training Program for the Construction Industry. Authorized trainers can conduct both 10-hour and 30-hour construction industry classes that provide training to workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces along with information regarding workers’ rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a workplace safety complaint. OSHA-authorized trainers are able to issue 10 and 30-hour course completion cards to participants. Participants learn effective instructional approaches, adult learning principles, and training techniques. Participants learn to define, and explain construction industry hazards as they teach 10-hour and 30-hour construction outreach courses. 

  
  

  Note: Students in this course must prepare a presentation on an assigned OSHA Construction Outreach topic, pass a performance exam and a knowledge-based exam to successfully complete the course. Students are required to bring picture ID as proof of identity and are strongly encouraged to bring a laptop.

Using OSHA's Ergonomics Guidelines for Nursing Homes as a basis for any healthcare facility, this course focuses on analyzing and identifying ergonomic hazards and practical solutions to address these issues. Course topics include developing an ergonomic work process, risk factors in patient handling and transfers, identifying work processes with the potential for musculoskeletal injuries and illnesses, protocol for resident and patient assessment, and implementing solutions including work practices and engineering controls. Course topics include purpose and requirements of emergency action and fire prevention plans, elements of emergency evacuation plans, and features of design and maintenance of emergency exit routes.
